McKinney Girls Softball Association

MGSA was organized in 1955. It has steadily grown over the years to a peak of over 1000 girls and 71 teams. Originally organized as a recreational division, it has also set up a select division as well to accommodate a higher level of play. MGSA also now hosts a number of select tournaments in McKinney with up to 35 outside area teams. The association and all teams are registered by ASA and USSSA. Coaches are also required to be certified. The MGSA is proud to be able to represent the governing bodies of USSSA and ASA Softball.

MGSA provides two seasons during the year. The Spring League begins in March and ends by June. The Fall League begins in September and typically ends in later October.

Registration is required for both. Teams that participate in the Spring League may also play together in the Fall League
